Your room is singing to you.
But not very well.
Ever listen to your stereo? You probably haven't. To listen to your
stereo, you.d have to take it into an anechoic ("echo free") chamber -
divorced from the echoes and additions you get from your listening room.
Otherwise, what you really hear are the interactions of your speakers with
the walls, floor and ceiling.
These acoustic interactions often have more to do with how a music system
sounds, than any other single factor (though speakers can come close.)
Getting rid of all room interactions isn't generally desirable (and it's
very expensive to do). But you can get rid of the troublesome ones -- and
then you.ll hear the music as it was meant to be heard. Clear. Pure. Every
thump and growl, every lilting note, every ringing trumpet or howling
stratocaster: unsullied and honest. And not showing up, late and confused,
after a trip off your left wall, past the china cabinet, and around your
sofa.
You rarely need to design a room from scratch to get good acoustic
properties in it. Simple, effective room treatments, intelligently
applied, can make a world of difference.
Speaker placement has more effect on sound than most people realize.
And sometimes just putting a wool rug down in the right place can get rid
of a whole lot of harsh distortion.
Call us.
We'll teach your room a whole new tune.
